Welcome to the Alea Iacta Est Wiki Alea Iacta Est is an online gaming community that grew out of a World of Warcraft guild started in early 2007 as a fan guild for The Instance Podcast. The name means, "the die has been cast," and is attributed to Julius Caesar as he cross the River Rubicon in 49 BCE. Since its founding, Alea Iacta Est has grown into a community of several thousand members spanning multiple online role playing games and game networks. Alea Iacta Est focuses on enjoying game content in a family-friendly environment built on mutual courtesy and respect.
