Mission Statement:

Alea Iacta Est Nomads provides a framework for AIE gamers who prefer a "change of scenery" gaming play style to enjoy those games together.

About Nomads:

AIE Nomads was born from an idea posted on the forums in December 2013 2. It attempts to address the evolving gaming habits of players who are hopping from game to game, due in part to the incredible amount of good gaming content readily available. We put the focus on the AIE social experience.

As we are an AIE group, our values and goals align with the overarching AIE which is to enjoying game content in a family-friendly environment built on mutual courtesy and respect.

Newb Tips to live by:

 - Get into chat/voice comms with other guildies for best results...
 - When building stuff never leave it at twig, which is what it is when you use the blueprint to place it. The wooden hammer allows you to upgrade it Wood, Stone, Metal, or Armored. That is also the order of durability.
 - Also, always hide from the Heli. It is a killing machine.
 - When first starting out, smaller bases are better. I'm living in a 1 square foundation building right now. Keeps you safe from the Heli, Bears, and moderately safe from other players.

Past Roams <Historical>:

January 5, 2014 Warframe Initial meetup - Fun was had in Warframe! Thanks to Durus for showing us the ropes and connecting our noob butts with the AIE clan!

January 8, 2014 Cards Against Humanity - A lot of good discussion was had about how we schedule ourselves going forward. From it was born a poll for people to chime in on. Have look.

Month of February - Rift - Check out the Wiki created from our Roam

February 12, 2014 Warframe - By popular demand Warframe was chosen as the minor league game of the night. We space ninja'd all the faces.

February 20, 2014 Path of Exile - PoE was chosen for the 20th of Feb. This is F2P dungeon crawler game (think Diablo)with a micro-transaction store. The game offers a unique passive skill tree and bartering system (there is no currency). A few of us went hacked and slashed our way from 1 to 20. Good times.. this F2P is worth checking out.

February 24, 2014 Hearthstone - Turn based card game made by Blizzard. The group had a lot of fun pairing up, challenging each other and chatting in vent.

Month of March - SW:TOR - Nomads spent the month of March in SW:TOR, dangerously swinging light sabers around. Planning events was easy, we didn't have to plan any.. the group there just keeps the events flowing. Check them out.

March 4, 2014 Path of Exile - The first returning champion in Nomads history, Path of Exile won again. It's not Ken Jennings returning champion, but then again you can't swing a sword at Alex Trebek..

March 12, 2014 Neverwinter - Neverwinter is an MMO with some interesting mechanics including the ability to create your own scenarios for others to play. A group of us rolled some new toons and went for it. There were high praise from the group with this game. I wouldn't be surprised if we returned soon..

March 20/24, 2014 Diablo 3 - With the expansion around the corner the group leveled like madmen in D3.

Month of April - LOTRO - Nomads spend most of the month of April in LOTRO. Highlights include the games 7th year anniversary and the in game festival that came with that. The month was capped off with a spectacular return of the AIE band performing in Bree for the masses (proof).

April 1st 08:37:24 EDT FlapMMO - More info about this game found here

April 21st, 29th, May 7th and , 2014 Marvel Heroes - Marvel Heroes is F2P dungeon crawler (Note after your first hero, to play through with different heroes cost money or in game currency earned as drops). Marvel Heroes won the poll 3 weeks in a row making it the first Nomads Hat Trick game.

May 2nd-4th World of Tanks - Headed up by Djangoh, the group spent some time in World of Tanks, leveling up tanks, working as a team and sometimes against each other. This game is a lot of fun with Vent, as it gives a strategic edge.

May 15th DC Universe - Due to real life interference with most people, there was not enough attendance to call this a proper Nomads run of DC Universe. I'm sure we will venture in at some point..

May 19th "Pot Luck" - We decided to do a BYOG (Bring your own game) approach on May 19th. This meant attendees decided on the game in real time. As Blizzard was promoting their 2 year anniversary of Diablo 3 by giving a plus 100% buff to Legendaries, how could we say no? The group had a blast hacking up demons.

Month of June - GW2 - As the summer rolled in, the Nomads ventured into Guild Wars 2.
