Thanks to wow-professions for their [http://www.wow-professions.com/wowguides/wow-leatherworking-guide.html leveling guide]. We have edited the guide specifically for the needs of the AIE Craft Faire. If you are leveling your profession on your own, you would do well to follow the original WoW-Professions guide linked above.

Want to gather your own mats?  Consider combining Leatherworking with the Skinning profession.  It is not required for the Craft Faire, but it is a big help going forward if you are able to gather your own leather.  In addition to their excellent Leatherworking guide, which we use for the Craft Faire, WoW-Professions.com has an excellent skinning guide: http://www.wow-professions.com/wowguides/wow-skinning-guide.html
<br/>Please familiarize yourself with the policies of the [http://wiki.aie-guild.org/index.php?title=Craft_Faire#Policies_and_Guidelines AIE Craft Faire].

<br/>A Leatherworking team member will supply you with mats appropriate to your skill level and guide you through the skilling-up process. All of the items you craft will then be traded to Maridunum for disenchanting.  The resulting mats will help the Craft Faire Enchanting team.

First, visit a trainer in one of the main cities of old Azeroth and learn Leatherworking Apprentice.  Since the Craft Faire is held in Silvermoon City, the most convenient trainer to visit is Lynalis, who is located in the Walk of the Elders (loc: 85,18)

==Leatherworking Leveling Guide 1 - 55==
1-20
19 x [Light Leather] - 57 Ruined Leather Scraps
Make the next recipe if you don't have Ruined Leather Scraps.

20-30 or 1-30
10 x [Light Armor Kit] - 10 Light Leather
30-50
20 x [Handstitched Leather Cloak] - 40 Light Leather, 20 Coarse Thread
50-55
5 x [Handstitched Leather Belt] - 30 Light Leather, 5 Coarse Thread

55 - 135
Learn Leatherworking Journeyman.

55-85
30 x [Embossed Leather Gloves] - 90 Light Leather, 60 Coarse Thread
85-100
15 x [Fine Leather Belt] - 90 Light Leather, 30 Coarse Thread
Keep these, you will need them.

100-115
Keep the Medium Hides, you will need them.
15 x [Cured Medium Hide] - 15 Medium Hide, 15 Salt

Make [Medium Armor Kit] if you can't find Medium Hides at the AH.

Check out my Medium Leather farming guide if you want to farm the leathers.

115-130
16 x [Dark Leather Boots] - 64 Medium Leather, 32 Fine Thread, 16 Gray Dye

135 - 200
Learn Leatherworking Expert.

130-145
15 x [Dark Leather Belt] - 15 Fine Leather Belt, 15 Cured Medium Hide, 30 Fine Thread, 15 Gray Die
Make [Dark Leather Cloak] if you still don't have [Cured Medium Hide].

145-150
5 x [Hillman's Leather Gloves] - 70 Medium Leather, 20 Fine Thread
150-155
5 x [Heavy Leather] - 25 Medium Leather
You can also make the following recipe:

5 x [Heavy Leather Ball] - 10 Heavy Leather, 5 Fine Thread

The pattern is sold by these NPCs.

Check out my Heavy Leather farming guide if you want to farm the leathers.

155-165
You will need the Cured Heavy Hides later.
20 x [Cured Heavy Hide] - 20 Heavy Hide, 60 Salt

Below you can find an alternative way if you don't have any Heavy Hides at all. Which is usually the case, since Heavy Hide has pretty low drop rate. If you can get 5 Heavy Hides for example, you should stop making Barbaric Leggings at 195 and start making Guardian Gloves, you can find this recipe at the 190-200 part in the guide.
First, visit a trainer in one of the main cities of old Azeroth and learn Apprentice Leatherworking. Since the Craft Faire is held in Silvermoon City, the most convenient trainer to visit is '''[http://www.wowhead.com/npc=16688 Lynalis]''', who is located in the Walk of the Elders (loc: 85,18)

If 4 Heavy Scorpid Scale are cheaper than 4 Rugged Leather, you can craft the following item:

20 x [Knothide Leather] - 100 Knothide Leather Scraps
<span style="color:#FF0000">Viklero, Ashlocke, or another craft fair LW helper, will supply: 450 thick leather</span>
Just skip this part and start making [Knothide Armor Kit], if you don't have Knothide Leather Scraps.

<span style="color:#0000FF">You will need to purchase: 135 silken thread</span>
23 x [Knothide Armor Kit] - 92 Knothide Leather
325-335
43 x [Heavy Knothide Leather] - 215 Knothide Leather
Just go to the next step if you didn't reach 335 by making these, but then you will need a few more [Heavy Knothide Leather].

If one Heavy Knothide Leather is cheaper than 5 Knothide Leather, stop making the Heavy Knothide Leathers when you reach 330, buy them from the Auction House instead.
*200-205 make 5 x [Thick Armor Kit] - 25 Thick Leather, 5 Silken Thread

14 x [Scaled Draenic Boots] - 28 Heavy Knothide Leather, 28 Fel Scales, 42 Rune Thread

This recipe goes yellow at 345, so you will need to make a few extra ones. I suggest gathering enough materials for 14.

Make any Fur Lining recipe. You can buy the Eternium Threads from the Leatherworking Supply vendor near your trainer.
Make this one up to 435 if you don't have Savage Leather Scraps. I must mention I think this is a bug because it just seems strange that a recipe, which uses materials that you can buy from the vendor, gives you 35 skill points.

*576-600
<span style="color:#0000FF">You will need to purchase: one leatherworking recipe <b>that uses exotic leather</b>, <u>not</u> prismatic scales (see below)</span>

500-526
At 576 you must purchase a leatherworking pattern from [http://www.wowhead.com/npc=64054/krogo-darkhide Krogo Darkhide] in the Shrine of Two Moons.
13 x [Exotic Leather] - 65 Sha-Touched Leather
The Fur Lining recipes will become green again at 500. You can make any of those up to 505. You can buy Eternium Threads from Tailoring and Leatherworking supply vendors.

But if you already have the Sha-Touched Leathers from skinning mobs, just make Exotic Leathers.
You will need 1 Spirit of Harmony to purchase a recipe, and you only need one recipe to level to 600.  If you do not have a Spirit of Harmony, this is as far as we can level you during the Craft Faire.

526-536
We will have a mage port you to the Shrine of Two Moons. Choose one recipe from the Contender's Armor recipes that uses <b>exotic leather</b> (i.e. a leather armor piece, <u>not</u> a mail piece).  The reason for this is that exotic leather is much easier to farm than prismatic scales.
5 x [Misthide Boots] - 40 Exotic Leather
From this point I will usually list two recipes because the droprate of Exotic Leather and Prismatic Scale seems pretty close right now. Choose the leather type that's cheaper for you, or if you farm your own leathers mix it up to make use all of your leathers.

536-540
It doesn't matter which one because if one of them requires more leathers, it will give you more skill points.
2 x [Misthide Belt] - 16 Exotic Leather
2 x [Stormscale Boots ] - 16 Prismatic Scale
540-550
5 x [Misthide Shoulders] - 40 Exotic Leather
5 x [Stormscale Gloves ] - 40 Prismatic Scale
550 - 560
5 x [Misthide Gloves] - 40 Exotic Leather
5 x [Stormscale Shoulders] - 40 Prismatic Scale
560 - 564
2 x [Misthide Leggings] - 20 Exotic Leather
2 x [Stormscale Helm] - 20 Prismatic Scale
564 - 570
3 x [Misthide Helm] - 30 Exotic Leather
3 x [Stormscale Chestguard] - 30 Prismatic Scale
570 - 600
Once you reach 570 you can purchase vendor recipes for the last 30 points (You can actually buy a few of them at 555). The Leatherworking recipes are on a vendor in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. You can enter Vale of Eternal Blossoms after completing the quest A Celestial Experience (requires level 87). After you completed the quest, you can find Krogo Darkhide (Horde) in Shrine of Two Moons and Tanner Pang (Alliance) in Shrine of Seven Stars.
You'll need 1 Spirit of Harmony to purchase a recipe and you only need one recipe. You can get Spirit of Harmony by combining 10 Motes of Harmony. Motes are dropped by every mob in Pandaria, even in dungeons. The drop rate is low, so it may take you 2 hours to collect 10 motes.

Choose one recipe from the Contender's Armor recipes. It doesn't matter which one because if one of them requires more leathers, it will give you more skill points. You will need around 150 Exotic Leather or Prismatic Scale.
When you have your recipe, return to Silvermoon and tell your Captain or Assistant which recipe you purchased, and you will be given 150 Exotic Leather.

Welcome to Leatherworking

Thanks to wow-professions for their leveling guide. We have edited the guide specifically for the needs of the AIE Craft Faire. If you are leveling your profession on your own, you would do well to follow the original WoW-Professions guide linked above.

We will be located in the Walk of Elders (coords 84,80) right by the Leatherworking trainer in Silvermoon. Click for a map of all Craft Faire locations.

Please familiarize yourself with the policies of the AIE Craft Faire.

A Leatherworking team member will supply you with mats appropriate to your skill level and guide you through the skilling-up process. All of the items you craft will then be traded to Maridunum for disenchanting. The resulting mats will help the Craft Faire Enchanting team.

Want to gather your own mats? Consider combining Leatherworking with the Skinning profession. It is not required for the Craft Faire, but it is a big help going forward if you are able to gather your own leather. In addition to their excellent Leatherworking guide, which we use for the Craft Faire, WoW-Professions.com has an excellent skinning guide.

Yours truly,

Locke & Vikkela

Your Leatherworking & Skinning Team

Donations Appreciated

If you would like to donate mats for the Craft Faire, you may send all leather directly to Viklero and all Volatiles (Earth, Air, Fire, or Water) to Seriewa.

The Skinning/Leatherworking team maintains a spread sheet of donations in case you would like to see what mats we need the most.

Thank you in advance for your donations!

You will need to purchase: one leatherworking recipe that uses exotic leather, not prismatic scales (see below)

At 576 you must purchase a leatherworking pattern from Krogo Darkhide in the Shrine of Two Moons.

You will need 1 Spirit of Harmony to purchase a recipe, and you only need one recipe to level to 600. If you do not have a Spirit of Harmony, this is as far as we can level you during the Craft Faire.

We will have a mage port you to the Shrine of Two Moons. Choose one recipe from the Contender's Armor recipes that uses exotic leather (i.e. a leather armor piece, not a mail piece). The reason for this is that exotic leather is much easier to farm than prismatic scales.

It doesn't matter which one because if one of them requires more leathers, it will give you more skill points.

When you have your recipe, return to Silvermoon and tell your Captain or Assistant which recipe you purchased, and you will be given 150 Exotic Leather.
