Greetings! This is your one-stop area to answer your most frequently asked questions, as well as important and useful links. Enjoy.

How do I join AIE?

The application can be found at http://umami.aie-universal.net.

Currently, invites are open for all prospective members of both factions, including alts, during the first week of the month.

Once you have joined, please post in the Introduction thread, found at http://forum.myextralife.com/topic/42629-introduction-thread/.

What server is AIE on?

Jedi Covenant, a PVE server

How do I contact the Officers?

In game, you can do a /cjoin aielfo to find an available officer. The officer email is officers@aie-tor.org The best time to find an officer is during “Prime Time” (5:30 pm-11:30pm EDT) and weekends, though there are certainly officers around during the day and night. Please have patience during this time while seeking an invite.

As a member of AIE, what are the guild rules and my individual responsibilities?

The Guild Charter, Policies, and Responsibilities thread can be found here:http://forum.myextralife.com/topic/42600-aietor-charter-policies-and-responsibilities-revised-for-dual-factions/ Read it. Know it. Love it. Follow it.

How do I become an Officer?

The Officers have a process for nominating potential candidates, and fairly rigid guidelines we follow, which are outlined in the Guild Charter. Candidates are usually found in members that have exhibited the love for the community, that understand the culture that we have built over the years, and that show the dedication and communication skills needed to manage such a large and diverse group.

What do we use for in game communication?

We use Ventrilo, and the info and password are located on Umami. https://umami.aie-universal.net/

Important: Do not share this info with anyone. It is for members only, and easily found in the appropriate place. Non-members may be approved for usage, but only in rare occasions, and only by Officers.

If you are found sharing the info, it is grounds for removal from the community.

Why can’t I talk in vent while running the game?

SWTOR takes over the keys, so if you use a PTT (press to talk) key while running SWTOR, you will have to run Ventrilo in "Administrator Mode". Right-click the application and select “Run as administrator” rather than double-clicking on it normally.

I want to form a raid team/event/raffle/contest. How do I go about doing that?

As a member, you are encouraged to create a raid teams, leveling groups, community events, or contests of your design. The Officers take a hands-off approach when it comes to raid teams. If there is conduct that needs to be addressed, the Officers do step in then. The major exception to this rule is when a member is soliciting others for credits to run a contest. In these cases, please submit your idea to the Officers via email prior to posting on the forums, or you may run the risk of having it shut down, regardless of intent.

My girlfriend, wife, spouse, buddy from around the way, raid team is in a different co-guild. How do I get swapped?

Right now there is no real difference or advantage to being in one co-guild or another. There are no guild rewards or perks currently. But we expect that achievements, reputation, etc. will be coming someday that are affected by your guild affiliation. If you wish to switch guilds based on your raid team, please send an email with your request, including times that are conducive to your team. An Officer will make the best attempt they can to honor your request.
