Bruce Galloway was an early member of AIE who passed away on August 2, 2007. His character, Milliway, is permanently fixed at the second-highest rank in the guild: Imperator. He was a fan of AIE on a level that cannot be overstated, and a good friend and kind soul to all who new him.
On July 23, 2007, Bruce was admitted to UCLA Medical Center following a cardiac event. At the time of his admittance, Bruce was registered to attend the 2007 Blizzcon in Anaheim. He had a successful surgery on July 29, 2007, but doctors impressed on Bruce that they had discovered a situation that could only be dealt with in a follow-up surgery, and as soon as possible. He was cleared for that procedure on August 2, 2007, but did not survive it.
Four days after his death, Scott and Randy recorded a special episode of The Instance that included e-mails and voicemails eulogizing Bruce from his friends: The Instance Episode 74B "Rest In Peace, Bruce Galloway".
A memorial for Bruce was held at the Universalist Unitarian Church in Santa Paula, CA on August 9, 2007.
