What is Why So Serious?

5/5/10:

Why so Serious? as we know it is gone. We have reformed as a new 10 man, Business as Usual. A new wiki is in the works.

We are a serious 10 man raid group primarily concerned with progression through Icecrown Citadel. Our goal is to work on hard modes and the various achievements required for the Bloodbathed Frostbrood Vanquisher. Our progress so far has been steady and exciting, and we look forward to the rest of Icecrown Citadel being released and our chance at showing Arthas what we're made of!

Updated information can always be found at the Officiated Why So Serious? Thread

When?

We raid 3 nights a week. Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Times are as follow:

Friday 7pm-11pm

Saturday 7pm-11pm

Sunday 7pm-10pm

What to Bring?

1. Yourself, along with whatever awesome skills you have (Preferably tanking, healing, or damage. But 450 fishing is respected) 10-15 minutes before the scheduled raid time so we can summon and find replacements if needed.

2. A good attitude! We want to have fun while raiding and one person's negativity can completely kill our momentum.

3. Required Addons.

4. Flasks, reagents, and repaired armor. Fish Feasts are provided but you are welcome to bring your own food.

5. Ventrillo. We have our own Vent server that will be linked in raid chat before we start.

What's this?!?!?! Why So Serious got Roflstomped by the Lich King himself! Oh yeah!!! We cleared everything but Sindragosa in one night! We went on to defeat Sindragosa and complete some very successful attempts on the Lich King. Right now we're getting through phase one consistently. Here's hoping for a Lich King kill in the weeks to come!

This week is still a work in progress. But so far we're at Sindragosa 20% and Putrcide Down! Oh yeah!

While not a hard progression weekend for Why So Serious (We had originally only planned to raid Friday due to absences) we still managed to pull of some very impressive stunts and once again cleared 9/12 in ICC thanks to some great fill ins Sakeßomb and Stahrl. We attained some Onyxia achievements as well as going "retro" (Can one year old be considered retro?) and we shall hence forth be known as Why So Serious The Undying. We are even starting to see our members becoming Once Bitten, Twice Shy!

We were finally able to head into the Frostwing Halls and after much hard work we finally saved Valitria Dreamwalker! Continuing onto Sindragosa we made a lot of progress but she still eludes us.

After a few somewhat stagnant weeks of throwing ourselves at Professor Putricide, we finally decided to enter the Crimson Halls and we cleaned house! We defeated the Blood Prince Council and was the first raid team in AIE to earn The Orb Whisperer. We continued onto Blood Queen Lana'thel and was the second raid team in AIE to defeat her! Why So Serious is kicking some serious arse. Beware!

Why So Serious had a busy and eventful week. We ran head first into Icecrown and quickly grabbed "I'm On a Boat!" On our first night of raiding we downed Rotface and downed Festergut in no time the second night. We were not able to down Professor Putricide but we had 10 great attempts and hopes are high for a quick defeat next week!

Happy New Year!!! Why So Serious went into ICC at 110% tonight and we all got Boned! Cleared all the existing content once again. We are all super excited for the next wing to open. Here's hoping it will be next week!
