I'd like to help, where do I send stuff?

Well, first of all, thank you! This is the reason AIE and the Craft Faire can even happen in the first place, people being generous with their time and/or gold.

Secondly, Blacksmithing uses bars. If you have ore to donate, please check out the Mining page for information on where to send the ore.

If you have anything in the list below and would like to donate it to be used in the Craft Faire, please send it to Treyvan, which is my (Elcarth's) goblin mage who has a guild bank for this very purpose. I would like to point out that any and all donations are gratefully accepted. Even if it's a couple bars, it's more than we had before, and thank you for your generosity!

WoW Blacksmithing Leveling Guide 1 - 600

This WoW Blacksmithing guide will show you the fastest and easiest way to level your Blacksmithing skill up from 1 to 600. Updated for WoW patch 5.4

Approximate Materials Required for 1-600:

   133 x [Rough Stone]
   285 x [Copper Bar] - save 75 for making Bronze Bar.
   80 x [Coarse Stone]
   7 x [Silver Bar]
   75 x [Tin Bar]
   150 x [Bronze Bar] - 75 x Tin Bar + the 75 Copper Bar you saved from before
   105 x [Heavy Stone]
   280 x [Iron Bar] - save 50, to be used in making Steel Bar
   50 x [Steel Bar] - 50 Iron Bar + 50 Coal. You can buy [Coal] at Blacksmithing Supply vendors

30 - 65 [Rough Grinding Stones]x50 - 100 Rough Stone (Keep these)

65 - 75 [Copper Chain Belt]x10 - 60 Copper Bar

Journeyman Blacksmithing 75 - 125

75 - 90 [Coarse Grinding Stones]x40 - 80 Coarse Stones

   Save the Coarse Grinding Stones and if you have a lot more Coarse Stone or it is really cheap, then you should make this up to 100 and you can skip the next step.

   If you didn't reach 90 by making these, you can still continue to the next step, but you will need a few more Copper Bars, or make a few more Coarse Grinding Stones.

90 - 100 [Runed Copper Belt]x10 - 100 Copper Bar

100 - 105 [Silver Skeleton Key]x7 - 7 Silver Bar, 14 Rough Grinding Stone

   You can also skip this part and just make Runed Copper Belt if you don't have any Silver Bar.

105 - 110 [Runed Copper Belt]x5 - 50 Copper Bar

You will need Tin Ore to make Bronze Bar, visit my Tin Ore farming guide if you want to farm the ores.

110 - 125 [Rough Bronze Shoulders]x15 - 75 Bronze Bar, 15 Coarse Grinding Stones

Expert Blacksmithing 125 - 200

125 - 140 [Heavy Grinding Stone]x35 - 105 Heavy Stone

   Keep the Heavy Grinding Stones. Make this one up to 150 if Heavy Stone is cheap.

140 - 145 [Rough Bronze Shoulders]x5 - 25 Bronze Bar, 5 Coarse Grinding Stone

145 - 155 [Patterned Bronze Bracers]x10 - 50 Bronze Bar, 20 Coarse Grinding Stone

   Make [Golden Skeleton Key] between 150-160 if you can get cheap Gold Bar.

155 - 165 [Green Iron Leggings]x10 - 80 Iron Bar, 10 Heavy Grinding Stone, 10 Green Dye

   Green Dye is sold by Tailoring and Leatherworking supply vendors.

This recipe is sold by these NPCs. There is around 30 minutes respawn rate for the recipe, this means you have to wait a bit if someone bought it before you. Make [Mithril Scale Pants] if you do not want to wait for the recipe to respawn or check the Auction House and look for [Plans: Heavy Mithril Pants]

   Check the Auction House, if you can get the Mithril Spurs recipe and it's not that expensive, buy it and make those until 255.

   Stop making these when you reach 455, make more only if you need them. If you choose different recipes you might need fewer than 78.

455 - 459 Make 4 from any recipe that requires 3 Folded Obsidium.

Almost all of the following items will give you multiple skill-ups per craft!

459 - 462 [Stormforged Gauntlets]x1 - 6 Folded Obsidium, 8 Volatile Earth

462 - 470 Make 8 from any of the following items:

   [Redsteel Belt], [Stormforged Belt], [Hardened Obsidium Belt] - 32 Folded Obsidium, 8 Volatile Earth

470 - 475 [Obsidium Bladespear] - 12 Folded Obsidium, 10 Volatile Earth, 4 Volatile Fire

475 - 480 [Obsidium Skeleton Key]x5 - 10 Folded Obsidium

480 - 489 [Stormforged Legguards]x3 - 6 Folded Obsidium, 24 Elementium Bar

489 - 494 [Fire Etched Dagger]x1 - 20 Elementium Bar, 12 Volatile Earth, 4 Volatile Fire

   You can also make 2 x [Hardened Obsidium Helm] (8 Folded Obsidium, 30 Elementium, 12 Volatile Earth), but I think Elementium is easier to farm than Obsidium.

Zen Blacksmithing 500 - 600

500 - 501 [Ghostly Skeleton Key]x1 - 1 Ghost Iron Bar

   This is an important step, don't skip it.

501 - 526 [Ghost-Forged Bracers]x5 - 25 Ghost Iron Bar

526 - 532 Make [Ghostly Skeleton Key] until you reach 526, if you start from 525.

   [Ghost-Forged Belt]x2 or [Ghost-Forged Gauntlets]x2 - 14 Ghost Iron Bar

532 - 544 [Ghost-Forged Boots]x4 - 28 Ghost Iron Bar

544 - 549 [Lightsteel Shield]x1 - 9 Ghost Iron Bar

549 - 559 [Spiritguard Shield]x2 - 18 Ghost Iron Bar

559 - 569 [Ghost-Forged Helm]x2 or [Ghost-Forged Breastplate]x2 - 24 Ghost Iron Bar

569 - 575 [Ghost-Forged Shoulders]x5 - 35 Ghost Iron Bar

575 - 600 Once you reach 575 you can purchase vendor recipes for the last 25 points.

The Blacksmithing recipes are on a vendor in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. You can enter Vale of Eternal Blossoms after completing the quest A Celestial Experience (requires level 87). After you completed the quest, you can find Jorunga Stonehoof (Horde) in Shrine of Two Moons and Cullen Hammerbrow (Alliance) in Shrine of Seven Stars.

You'll need 1 Spirit of Harmony to purchase a recipe and you only need one recipe. You can get Spirit of Harmony by combining 10 Motes of Harmony. Motes are dropped by every mob in Pandaria, even in dungeons. The drop rate is low, so it may take you 2 hours to collect 10 motes.

Choose one recipe from the Contender's Armor recipes. It doesn't matter which one because if one of them requires more Ghost Iron Bar, it will give you more skill points. You will need between 58-64 Ghost Iron Bar.
