Welcome to Leatherworking
Thanks to wow-professions for their leveling guide. We have edited the guide specifically for the needs of the AIE Craft Faire. If you are leveling your profession on your own, you would do well to follow the original WoW-Professions guide linked above.
Please familiarize yourself with the policies of the AIE Craft Faire.
A Leatherworking team member will supply you with mats appropriate to your skill level and guide you through the skilling-up process. All of the items you craft will then be traded to our designated dis-enchanter, Maridunum, who will take the resulting mats over to the Enchanting team.
Want to gather your own mats? Consider combining Leatherworking with the Skinning profession. It is not required for the Craft Faire, but it is a big help going forward if you are able to gather your own leather. In addition to their excellent Leatherworking guide, which we use for the Craft Faire, WoW-Professions.com has an excellent skinning guide.
Yours truly,
[Bullocke]

Once you reach 570 you must purchase patterns for the last 30 points. The Leatherworking recipes can be purchased from Krogo Darkhide in Shrine of Two Moons.
You will need 1 Spirit of Harmony to purchase a recipe (you only need one recipe to level to 600). You can get Spirit of Harmony by combining 10 Motes of Harmony. Motes are dropped by every mob in Pandaria, even in dungeons. The drop rate is low, so it may take you 2 hours to collect 10 motes. Spirits of Harmony are soulbound so you have to collect them yourself on your Leatherworker.
If you do not have a Spirit of Harmony, this is as far as we can level you during the Craft Faire.
If you do have a Spirit of Harmony, ask your Leatherworking Captain or Assistant and we will have a mage port you to the Shrine. Choose one recipe from the Contender's Armor recipes. It doesn't matter which one because if one of them requires more leathers, it will give you more skill points. Choose a recipe that your character, or an alt, will be able to use.
When you have your recipe, return to Silvermoon and tell your Captain or Assistant which recipe you purchased, and you will be given 150 Exotic Leather or 150 Prismatic Scales, which will allow you to skill up to max.
