The UI Clinic is a series of segments created by Bouvi for The AIE Podcast which help you turn your back on the default UI and create a UI to be proud of.

Favorite Class Mods

Hello AIE and welcome to this edition of the UI Clinic. I am your host Bouvi. This segment I went to the forums and asked you what your favorite class mods were. I credit Old Man Franks for the idea as he did this on Focus Magic so check it out for some good mage addons. I want to apologize ahead of time if I slaughter your character name.

Grab that patient chart and lets hit the ground running.

First up we have Vanterax who says to check out Scorchio2, Decursive, Quartz, Big Brother and ReagentRestocker.

Scorchio! 2 tracks Improved Scorch, Winter's Chill, Shadow Mastery, Torment the Weak, Living Bomb, Slow and Polymorph on multiple mobs, as cast by multiple mages, and gives you warnings and notifications when the debuffs need reapplying, or have expired completely.

Decursive is a cleansing mod intended to render affliction removal easy, effective and fun for all the classes having this ability. Decursive configures itself automatically for your character class, it works straight out of the box, no configuration is required.

Quartz is a modular approach to a casting bar addon. The core of Quartz is lightweight implementation of a standard casting bar, with configurable size, text and icon positioning, colors and much more.

Big Brother Checks Raid Buffs, Flasks & Alerts who breaks Polymorph/Shackle.

and ReagentRestocker everytime youI go to a vendor that sells reagents, all your reagents are restocked automatically.

Rowlf recommends for the druids Feral by Night In one addon you will have a suggestion monitor for the next move, debuff/buff monitor, stat frame, trinket monitor, energy, omen of clarity, rage, casting bar and many other goodies.

Warak suggests Shamans try out Totem Timers which displays timers for all totems and their cooldowns (referred to as timers), shaman shields, reincarnation cooldown and weapon buffs (referred to as trackers in TT). Each timer can be used to cast its associated spells, either by mouse or keybinds.

Another Shaman addon is ShockandAwe recommended by Meegeekai. ShockAndAwe displays timer bars for Shocks, Stormstrike, Windfury (internal CD), Maelstrom Weapon, Lava Lash, Feral Spirits, and your shield. It optionally shows number of orbs on left shield, stacks of MW, advises of next shock in rotation. It also shows a user configurable priority icon frame to advise you of what the highest damage ability available is. Using the priority frame ensures you always use the highest damage ability to maximize your DPS.

Devona is a warlock that says ForteXorcist is the addon you need. Useful for keeping track of spell cooldowns, soul shards, soul stones, health stones, etc.

Polynomial says Warlocks need Necrosis which gives you a sphere to Manage your spells, demons, stones & shards effectively.

Zeke has one thing to say for Paladins and that is Pally Power. Pally Power is an add-on that provides an interactive and easy to use interface that allows you to control assignments of blessings for yourself and, if you are a party leader or an assistant, for other paladins in your group or raid.

However Mackathron recommends ZOMGBuffs which is an All in one buffing mod for all classes. Paladin buff generated assignments based on Paladin capabilities and raid member sub-classes (druid tank vs. druid healer etc.). Plus overview of important raid buffs, and instant access rebuff on right click.

For Death Knights Grimrust is happy with MagicRunes. Magic Runes is a set of bars displaying rune cooldowns. It's meant as either a replacement or addition to the normal Blizzard rune display.

Servillia says that Annoying Buff Reminder helps with keeping the shouts up.

Iceflare gives us the PoM (Prayer of Mending Tracking). This addon helps priests to track their prayer of mending. Each time that the owner of the prayer of mending takes damage, it jumps to a new member. This may be hard to track especially if it lands on those pesky hunter, warlock, and DK pets. So the prayer of mending displays a small box that tells who has the current prayer of mending and how many jumps it has left. It also has the option to include the tier set bonus which would allows the prayer of mending to jump an additional time.
