The UI Clinic is a series of segments created by Bouvi for The AIE Podcast which help you turn your back on the default UI and create a UI to be proud of.

Welcome AIE

Hello and welcome to this edition of the UI Clinic, I am your host Bou…

Special Report

Annatu: This is an Azeroth Special report, I am Annatu your Troll in the know.

Moldovia: and this is Moldovia your undead representative

Annatu: There is some exciting news or add-on makers and quest lovers out there.

Moldovia: There sure is Annatu

Annatu: In patch 3.3 Blizzard will be releasing a couple of new functions available to add-on authors

Moldovia: QueryQuestsCompleted() requests that the server send the client a list of completed quest ids. Once the list is received the QUEST_QUERY_COMPLETE event is fired. (There is a limit on how frequently this can be called)

tbl = GetQuestsCompleted([tbl]) populates a table (creating one if necessary) with the ids of completed quests.

This will allow add-on authors to be able to tell what quests a player has completed.

Annatu: This will be a big addition to addons like Questhelper and other online leveling type guides.

Moldovia: I learned today that my favorite leveling mod is working on adding this functionality but they are not ready to comment yet.

Annatu: For all those want-to-be loremasters out there I can see a ton of addons being updated or created to make this achievement easier to get.

Moldovia: Yes and hats off to all those who have done it. That is amazing in my book.

Annatu: you said it moldy. This concludes our Azeroth Special Report. We now return you to your segment already in progress.
