Loot Distribution

My own personal experience has lead me to shoot for two goals with loot distribution: Speed and Fairness. The faster a group can move from boss to boss, the quicker we can "Gear Up" and the smoother we can complete a given goal. I have found that Main Spec/Off Spec rolling to be the most ideal for speed and since the results are printed in chat, its extremely accessible and transparent to raid members. A typical loot drop would occur as follows:

1. Loot set to Master Looter, a person other than a tank or primary healer is given this role. This person does not decide who receives loot, they merely "deliver" the loot to the chosen person, as the rest of the raid moves on to clearing trash.

2. Anyone who can use a BoP loot drop, for their declared spec may /roll on the item. Rolling will be done first for main spec then for off spec. Any items left after rolls will be DEed shards will be rolled for at the end of the raid.

3. Tier Tokens follow the same rules as BoP.

4. BoE items are rolled on by the entire raid. The philosophy with rolling for BoEs is that the winner of a BoE item can sell it or if useable can equip the item as they see fit, and can improve beyond a calculated trajectory and add some excitement and luck to the raid. If you win a BoE roll, you cannot roll for another BoE within that week's raids. The same policy goes for Disenchanted Items, such as Abyss Crystals, however these lists are seperate, i.e. it is possible for one raid member to win a BoE and a D/E item within the same week.
