Rustruby is a level 80 deep arcane mage.
Physical Description
Rustruby is slim and athletic, with a proud, avian expression. His hair is golden silver and his eyes burn gemstone green.
Personality
Rustruby seeks meaning in relationships, ideas, and events, with an eye toward better understanding himself and others. Although independent, Rust is intensely interested in the well-being of others and the group as a whole. He is good at understanding complicated issues, providing organization and driven to resolve differences in a cooperative and creative manner.
History
Rustruby is a product of Falthrien Academy located on Sunstrider Isle. He was classically trained there in line with the great arcane mage traditions of his people going back tens of thousands of years. He views arcane magic as an integral part of his heritage, and is loathe to dabble in elemental magic or darker demonic pathways.
Like many of his brethren he has been deeply affected by the aftermath of the scourge invasion of Silvermoon and the betrayal of his people by Prince Kael’thas Sunstrider. The latter was perhaps to be expected given the corrupting effect of fel energy. He sees the restoration of the Sunwell as the long awaited rebirth of the magical glories of his people, and has come on a pilgrimmage to the mages in Dalaran to seek further revelation.
Gameplay
Rustruby is former Raid Manager of the Night Owls Raid Group. He enjoys raiding, but seldom participates in PVP.
Friends often like to tease Rustruby that he dies alot in game, especially close to stairs. He is fond of hanging out in the Purple Parlour in Dalaran with his fellow mage ilk. He's also known for playing 80s music in vent under the name of Sunwheat. He has acted as Alchemy captain of the AIE Craft Faire in the past, and takes his professions very seriously.
Rustruby originated on the Quel'dorei server and was a charter member of the Silvermoon Tradesmen guild. He also spent a short time on the Antondias server in a guild with Pyrivala, before transferring to the Earthen Ring server and the Alea Iacta Est guild. He is currently a Cohort and a former Guildie of the Week of AIE.
Rustruby has stepped back from active raiding for a while due to personal and professional commitments. He sometimes logs onto a low level alliance alt named Anjou on the Cenarion Circle server with other AIE members during his free time.
