EVE Online

EVE Online is a multi-player online interstellar warfare RPG developed by CCP Games. It is based upon a "sandbox" model, characterized by a heavy reliance upon player-driven content. It is inherently a PvP-based game that offers players a wide variety of activities, including mining, industry, exploration, NPC faction warfare, and trading.

Our Corporation

Alea Iacta Est Universal (AIEU) was founded on 16 July 2010. It was initially based in Scheenins in the Verge Vendor region of Gallente space. On 26 October 2010, the corporation joined Test Alliance Please Ignore (TEST), who had been suitably impressed by AIEU's unarmed offering of intoxicants, exotic dancers, and frigate wreckage on their doorstep in Deklein.

How To Join

You must do the following for each character you wish to add to the corporation roster.

  1. Submit an application through UMAMI. You can use the direct link.
  2. If you are new to AIEU, we may wish to conduct a short interview. You will be contacted by e-mail. Unfortunately, due to the inherent difficulty in scheduling, arranging an interview is rarely quick We apologize in advance for the delays that you may encounter, the nature of EVE Online make this step necessary.
  3. Once you receive an acceptance message, you may submit an in-game application. Search for AIEU in your People and Places Neocom screen, click on Alea Iacta Est Universal, and submit an application. Please make sure that you have dropped any roles if you are currently in another player corporation.
  4. Do not accept the in-game invitation until you have prepared to move. Please see Before Joining.

New Members

As a new member, there are a few things that you will need to take care of when you join. Below is a checklist of things that are highly recommended.

Before Joining

Once you've been accepted (in any game) in UMAMI, you will have access to AIE's Jabber server. You will be able to see which EVE officars are online and can ask any questions. You will also find the AIE Ventrilo server information on the UMAMI home page, as a bulletin. EVE players can be found in a channel called the Derelict Station.

  1. If you are a new EVE player, complete the tutorial missions. They are a good introduction to fundamental concepts in the game.
  2. Select one of the alpha plans from our Base Camp Training. You may want to wait until you have the skills to fly one of the fits fully trained to continue. The alpha plans are designed to take no longer than one week.
  3. Inject any remaining skill books you have lying around.
  4. Sell what you have. If you have something that you'd actually like to move to current TEST shanty town, you may be able to create a courier contract with Black Frog or PUSHX.
  5. Accept the invitation to AIEU.
  6. Update your medical clone. Make sure your medical clone can hold more skill points than you've accumulated on your character. For new characters who've only done the tutorials, you are probably fine.
  7. Move your medical clone to AIEU's staging station. The current staging system is Tamo V, but should verify this before continuing.
  8. Leave your ship (which should be a rookie ship, because everything else was sold).
  9. Undock in your pod. After the undock timer has expired, right click on your pod aand select "Self Destruct". After 2 minutes, you will see your lifeless corpse floating in space (and not for the last time, we can assure you).
  10. When you wake up in the staging station, update your clone if necessary.

After Joining

  1. Get your TEST external authentication set up and un**** your overview. See the TEST New Member Guide for details.
  2. Pull one of the free ships out of the Common hangar in our staging station.
  3. Insure the ship.
  4. Undock.
  5. Explode.
  6. Rinse and repeat.

Divisions

Combat

The military branch of AIEU is, by far, the most active one. Our focus is on sub-capital skirmishing and stealth operations.

MIRC

The Mining, Industry, Research, and Commerce (MIRC) branch of AIEU is currently being redeveloped as the circumstances of TEST evolve.

Skylift

Skylift is the transport logistics branch of AIEU. As a corporation, we provide tranport of ships and materiel for members during alliance deployments.
